2018 Champion for the Arts Award
Have you ever seen the big canoe sculpture on the Lesner Bridge? Andrew Fine played a huge role in placing this beautiful piece of art on the bridge. Serving as president of the Public Art Foundation, him and the help of Virginia Beach citizens made this project become reality. At the dedication ceremony on July 28th, Andrew and his wife Barbara were awarded the 2018 Champion for the Arts award. This award recognizes the dedication to the furtherance of the arts in Virginia Beach. This award is well-deserved for Barbara and Andrew as they have been apart of numerous projects such as the ViBe Creative District, Tidewater Performing Arts Society, Virginia MOCA, and much more.
